The Spirit of the Forest Greenman Steel Sculpture

Our Spirit of the Forest Greenman Steel Sculpture is a modern reimagining of an ancient woodland symbol, the Spirit of the Forest captured in a fusion of mild steel and stainless steel. Designed and handcrafted in our workshop, this piece celebrates both the precision of laser cutting and the artistry of freehand fabrication.

Measuring approximately 44cm x 44cm x 12cm, each sculpture is carefully layered with individually cut leaves that blend two distinct metals. The mild steel elements are left untreated to naturally age and develop a rich patina over time, gradually transforming in tone and texture as the seasons pass.

In contrast, the stainless steel leaves retain their bright, reflective finish, a timeless silver that beautifully offsets the deep, earthy hues of the weathered steel.

The result is a striking contrast between permanence and change, mirroring the natural world the Greenman represents. As the years go by, the sculpture will continue to evolve, a living artwork shaped by weather, time, and environment.
